Ohio meet & greet 3.0
« on: November 04, 2012, 10:11:58 AM »
I propose a camping experience on the verge of winter in Southern Ohio.
Family-friendly, ranging toward hard-core wackos trying out their BOBs, I propose to run the range including everyone.
Hey, it's camping ;)

Location is SE of Cincinnati.
https://www.google.com/search?q=Eastfork+campground+Ohio&rlz=1C1CHFX_enUS460US460&aq=f&oq=Eastfork+campground+Ohio&sugexp=chrome,mod=0&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
The trick is, I can't get them on the phone so am not sure if it's open.
But heck, if they are not open that would be the perfect venue to test out TEOTWAWKI  scenario, right?  And with no cops around, we can do the Ant thing, right?

No illegal activities were advocated in the making of this post.

But seriously, is anyone interested in doing a winter campout?  If anyone brings extra steaks and a grill. I will pay cash for a good dinner ;)

I'm interested as long as I can fit it in around my schedule, which consists of deer hunting, squirrel hunting, turkey hunting, rabbit hun... well I think you get the idea ;) Gun season for deer runs from November 26 through Dec 2, so those days are obviously out.

It does look like East Fork is closed for the winter. I tried to reserve a spot but it would not let me.  Here is a tool that lists available camping locations at state parks: http://www.ohio.reserveworld.com/GeneralAvailability.aspx I used dates of Dec. 6 2012 for 4 days just to check.
