May I assume that these will mostly be the "how to do stuff" type threads as opposed to the current events type threads?

Yes. These will generally be preparedness-related threads pertaining to everything from gardening and food storage to handgun/rifle reviews/maintenance, BOB's, BOV's and BOL's, etc., in addition to other features such as prep book reviews, both fiction and non-fiction.

No tin foil hattery or political discussions. They have their place in the forums but the newsletter will simply be restricted to preparedness basics and discussions.

Feel free to sign up in the 2nd link in my auto-signature below. (The first link is for the Dallas-Fort Worth area meetups.)

Just signed up!  This should be great for time strapped people.  I wish I could read and comment on the forums with more regularity, but I just don't have the time.  Thanks for the new tool!
Understand that there is nothing morally superior about being a sheepdog; it is just what you choose to be. Also understand that a sheepdog is a funny critter: He is always sniffing around out on the perimeter, checking the breeze, barking at things that go bump in the night, and yearning for a righteous battle. That is, the young sheepdogs yearn for a righteous battle. The old sheepdogs are a little older and wiser, but they move to the sound of the guns when needed right along with the young ones. -- On Sheep, Wolves, and Sheepdogs

It would not be a collectors item if I put it together, it would be something to clean the nether regions with.  ;)
