LIBERTARIAN BOOK CLUB: Liberalism by Ludwig von Mises
« on: January 01, 2018, 01:31:41 PM »
I noticed it has been a few years since book clubs discussed in this forum.  I wanted to share Libertarian Book Club, a side project I run with a couple other liberty lovers.

We are a monthly book club for anyone who wants to learn more about Libertarianism. We will discuss each book's chapter/section in separate posts, so everyone will be able to read along at their own pace. We typically also focus on books which are available for free so that everyone can participate.

Nice... I'll have to check it out. I started reading about Austrian Economics about 10 years ago... completely changed my political views.

It only took a couple economics books to absolutely change my world view as well!

I've been slowly compiling the LUDWIG VON MISES INSTITUTE HOME STUDY COURSE IN AUSTRIAN ECONOMICS from publicly hosted sources (mises hosts a LOT of free PDFs on their site).

I might program it into a weekly email funnel eventually so people can sign up and get 52 emails in a year and complete it!  If only I had more time!

^^^^ This. I had to take a certain number of the typical Keynesian economics courses in college (Macro, Micro and Money and Banking) and really hated them. Never thought a lot of it made sense... I would never have believed I would read books on economics for fun in the years to come.
