An element of MARSOC utilizes freeze dried blood plasma for the first time in combat when it is used to assist a downed partner nation soldier.

The plasma apparently delivers clotting properties to the patient to supplement mechanical interventions.  Intriguing since it does not need refrigeration like normal plasma, and it's clotting property can help patients where a TQ will not help like those with torso injuries.
