The price does not upset me.  Especially since it is made to be fire proof. :o

Frankly, if there are any members, who recently returned from Iraq/Afghanistan, perhap they can say if these shirts are/were worth the money :-\

Um, yeah.

Then I'd have to spend a few hundred more on the body armor to go with the shirt.

I like the shirts, don't get me wrong but practically speaking I ain't spending 70 bucks on a fancy t-shirt.  Not to mention, if you need a shirt to wear under your body armor on a regular basis....you might think about finding a better place to hang out. ;D  Just teasing ya a bit BT. ;)

I've looked at those shirts before & thought they might be a good addition down the road, but it's a long road & I have other priorities at the moment.

BT,

If they are free(issued) then they are great, however they do seem to get alot of holes in them pretty easily. Unless you are wearing body armor 24/7 or close to it, then I don't know that they are worth the money.

I'm thinking we just need to go ahead and have body armor with the TSP logo and some ants.

Totally.  Ohhhh, what about custom leather gun sheaths, with the TSP logo and an ant stamped into the leather?  That'd be pretty awesome (and we know how to make them!)

SW,

My momma used to work in a saddle shop doing the same sorta thing for several years!  She worked for Dale Chavez (I have no idea if he's still in the business or not), making silver inlaid saddles, and bridles... I used to have the most beautiful western show bridle that she made, it was daaaark stained leather, with silver and rubies inlaid in it everywhere.  I kick myself regularly for getting rid of it many many years ago, but I don't have horses, and I'll NEVER show western again... Still, it was so beautiful.  *sigh*  :'(

*wakes up*  Well THAT was a trip down memory lane.  The only thing TW & I are missing as far as making custom sheaths/leather goods goes, is a stamp with some sort of official TSP/ant logo on it.  If you're serious about getting back into leatherwork, and you want to sell it, PM me, and maybe we'll feature some of your work in the store!  I know that TW makes gorgeous hardened leather stuff, and I can sew saddle-stitches like a pro (my friend Sig says I am at the "sub genius level" with stitching - :D ), and I'm fairly good at adding extras.

I'm in the process of making myself a cell phone case right now out of dark, soft suede.  It works perfectly for my phone, but I'm going to add a silver crescent moon with a garnet inlaid in it, and some tiny freshwater pearls all over the front of it, and call it the "moon & stars case".  Yeah.  I'm definitely a girl.  ;D
