Watching a History Channel presentation of "Prophets of Doom"
Three futurists look to the past and propose different theories on how America will decline and meet its end.
Pretty grim assessment of the future of our country.

Found a YouTube thread.

To put us in a global perspective, consider an hour of unskilled labor.  In China, it costs about 60 cents.  In the Philippines, about 72 cents.  In the US, about $7.25.  In terms of unskilled labor on international markets the dollar is overvalued by a factor of 10:1.

Once those outside the US finish waking up to the fact the dollar is a joke, we can expect prices of foreign items to jump at least 10x.  (And that’s if Congress stops borrowing and stops spending beyond tax intake – ends federal welfare, pensions, social security, Medicaid, etc.)

I liked the killer robots, my money is on them killing us all. Unless there's an economic crisis then my money wouldn't be as good so betting on the robots would be a suckers bet. Or if the oil ran out, the robots wouldn't have oil to lubricate themselves and we'd just have to wait until they ground themselves to a halt.
