Title: Unintended Consequences of TSP
Post by: Fyrediver on October 09, 2010, 07:13:00 PM
So I've found an unintended consequence of listening to the TSP:  longer cardio workouts at the gym.  I'm trying to get through the old casts and don't want to stop the show to start my weightlifting!

I'm thinking I need the waterproof case for my iPod so I can listen while I'm swimming too.

I find that if I'm in the mood a TSP episode makes for a perfect 5 mile run.  The times are usually right around perfect for me finishing when Jack's signing off- unless he say's we're going long today and then all bets are off!

I ran a trail half-marathon while listening to two (or was it three???) TSPs. It made the time go by quickly and I ran my 2nd fastest time while learning in the process.

Mine was having to buy a good set of headphones. For the past 5 years all I used was the earbuds that came with my mp3 player. Which are fine for listening for 20min at a time or so. Not so much when wearing them for 4 hours in a stretch of 5 or 6 different podcasts. Never thought I would be spending $80 on headphones, but there you go.  ;D
