Title: Making Scarves (among other things) for Soldiers for Operation Graditude

Some of you may have seen the article already, but Kelly Black over at ITS Tactical posted about Operation Gratitude, a program that collects handmade scarves for troops around the world. They accept scarves from September to December to include in care packages that are sent out. So if you need an excuse to knit, here's a great reason!
