Title: MJ connectors?
Post by: Greekman on June 19, 2014, 01:24:03 PM
I am kind of perplexed....

this listing says MJ connectors.

Are those another name for UHF?

I got curious myself, but google "mj connector" only shows that particular SWR meter.  I'm 90% certain those are actually so-239 UHF female connectors.

Any by the way, that model meter got only mediocre reviews on eHam:

I got a used dual needle SWR for less than $30, but if I was shopping for new I would consider this based on popularity:

MJ = Modular Jack ...a common name for many connectors...Those are SO 239 to fit PL 259 standard connectors.

thanks guys....

Buying from the US is very expensive, due to shipping charges.

i opted for an ebay electronic SWR meter, the Reddot 1150A.
I checked for reviews and found one in which the guy opened the case, had a lokk inside and he was pleased..
