Title: Dr. thomas Sowell books
Post by: Bolomark on January 01, 2017, 03:47:40 PM
Discovered these after reading a post on Michelle Malkins website.
why haven't i heard of this author?
I'm listening to "Black rednecks and White liberals"
did not know the origin of the terms "Cracker" "disrespecting", prevalence of social acceptable savage dueling in Brittan and other European countries and the transfer of those practices to the south.(makes drive by shootings civilized in comparison).
tried to find his books at Barnes and Noble here in the liberal western Washington and was not surprised to see one only in the business section.
tracked an audio book down at the library. ordering a couple off the web.(he should have been our last president instead of the loser we had.)

I just came across that book as well, and put it on my "read someday" list on the library's website for ebooks.

Sowell just retired and that has raised his profile a bit.

He was the real deal, a conservative thinker and columnist.  He was a true intellectual as opposed to many today who just want to count coup against their opponents and have no interest in a genuine argument of ideas.

Sowell's books on economics are excellent.
Profound and easy to understand.

A black high school drop out from Harlem, that became a highly respected libertarian/conservative economist. The lefts worst nightmare.
