Is an old milsurp TW100F worth picking up?
« on: September 23, 2010, 09:12:02 PM »
It's an old Trans World "fly-away" in a portable aluminum suit case.  SSB, AM, CW, FSK, 125 watts max output, 1.6 - 30mhz, AC or DC power.  I have a chance to "make an offer" on one, but not sure about value, nor do I know about their reputation/reliability.  I don't want to assume that because the military used it and made it portable, that it's great.

TIA

in my 2 min search, I can't find much about it,..  BUT - if you are getting it for less then $1500, then it's a deal.

Going back to looking for more info..

Sounds like a sweet set-up.
