Technician Class License

Id like to announce to the board i passed my test this last Saturday and its thanks to all the help on this board that i only missed 1 question! Now i have to wait for my call sign to show up online so i can get on the HAM and talk to you all! Id like to point out it was sad that I'm only 29 and was the youngster in the class hahaha

Welcome aboard.  There is so much you can do with a Tech license.  Including HF CW on 80m, 40m, 15m, and 10m.  Also you have voice and data on 10m.  Get a band chart here...

Also, you can do VHF/UHF contests if you have a rig which can do SSB/CW on 6m and above (some only do 6m during the contest which you can tune a lot of antenna to).

Like Cedar said, nets are good.  Depending on where you live, you may want to do SkyWarn.
