- One guard was killed and 26 students were injured Wednesday in an attack on the American University of Afghanistan in Kabul

- The assault came just two weeks after two university professors, an American and an Australian, were kidnapped at gunpoint near the school in Kabul.

- Massoud Hossaini, an AP photographer, has managed to escape with around nine other students

Yes it is still ongoing.

- Several Gunmen Inside American University Campus In Kabul. Foreign staff and dozens of pupils were trapped in the compound hours after the attack began at about 6:30pm local time (2pm, GMT).
