Has anyone read the book Dull Disasters? Its pretty new.

I haven't read it, but it looks like it is offered as a free PDF download by the World Bank, no less:

Intriguing premise.  Sounds unlike much of the previous writing that has either been focused on individual prepping or big government preparation.

After reading a bit:

I am encouraged to see the IDEA of governments preparing better for major disasters but at what cost to individuals?
Governments do not EARN their money,they TAX the individual for it.
I think it far better for individuals to plan with government support.
Now I will get back to reading as to get a better view of this book.
