I've totally been getting rid of mine because I'm on a 1/2 acre lot and it just SPREADS. Plus, since the berries are poisonous, I don't want to be liable as property owner if someone elses kid decides to try eating some.
I dug up a bunch last year, then I wore gloves and used clippers to cut off all the berry clusters and roots to black bag and put out on the curb, then composted the stalks and greenery. It was a pretty big pile and by the time I got done I was actually having heart palpitations, I'm assuming from inhaling stuff that wound up airborne from my cutting etc. That's one of it's herbal actions (and I *think* one of it's dangers--ie a trained herbalist can use a little bit to good effect for very specific situations, but too much and it can kill you) So I'd read up on it before I burned a bit pile of the stuff and wound up with all of that in the air. Maybe I'm wrong, but it's worth reading up to be safe.
