Got his buck today
« on: November 08, 2009, 10:15:53 AM »
A fourteen year old got his first 8 point white tail buck this morning on my place.  They came up to the house to show it to me. Big ole boy, and Dillon was sooo proud.  :o

He'll never forget it.  This is what it's all about.

That's awesome.

Good for him, we need more young hunters.

He's such a polite young man, always calls me Ma'm, course most of the Texas boys learn that from birth. ;D He gave me a big hug and thanked me for letting him hunt here.  Makes it all worthwhile.

I took my first buck on a neighbors land a long time ago.  She doesn't know it, but I have never forgot about her or the opportunity she gave me and my friends by letting us hunt her land.  I am taking my son out for the third time tomorrow...with luck we'll come home with a full cooler! Even if we don't the memories are more than reward enough.  Thanks for letting that young man hunt your land, you have had a big impact on his life wheather either of u know it or not.
