Its been a long time coming...

Well, it finally arrived.

I now have my Concealed Weapon Carry License.

I say what i want about Florida, but its damn easier to get your concealed carry license here than in MA, where I moved from.

Now, I go holster shopping for my Sigma and my Walther p22 (in carbon fiber pink :)

congrats, just remember the responsibility that comes with that card, and you need 2 holsters, never know which you might wanna carry with on any given day  ;D

I plan on picking up my FL license either this week or next.  For out of staters, you can pick up quite a few other states with the FL license.  I will pick up:

WY, ND, KS, NM, AL, GA, WV, DE and of course FL.  The FL and WA will give me 29 states.

When you submitted, was your training specifically NRA?  I am going to try with two courses from FAS that were taught by an NRA instructor, but weren't NRA courses and there is no mention of NRA on the certificate.

I didn't know you could get licenses in multiple states? I thought you could only get one from the state you live in. Can anyone explain this to me please?

Texas has reciprocal agreements with several other states.

You have to check the details of each state linked on the link above, but mostly these states recognize the Texas CHL and Texas recognizes the CHL of these other states.
