Hunting Florida
« on: August 28, 2010, 04:29:32 PM »
Hey everyone,

I am looking to get a hunt together with some TSP members who hunt in the central / south Florida area.

I was thinking if we could get some experienced hunters and some not so experienced hunters together we could really help eachother out. The art of hunting in the suburban/urban areas of Florida is nearly dead, we need a revival!
What, When, Where will be decided once I get feedback, If no one wants to help out new hunters or there are no new hunters who need help than lets just get together with like minded people and trade tips / suggestions for hunting in the Florida area.

Hope to see lots of responses.

I live in SE FL and have been hog hunting a couple of times recently.  I'm obviously still learning the game, but the 2 organized hunts I went on weren't really hunting - it was more like: -

wait for the dogs to find the hog,
wait for the guides to corner the hog,
wait for the guides to pin the hog down,
OK - come on in and shoot it now.

Me and a couple of friends are interested in learning how to track & hunt and then shoot from distance (not 6 feet away).  If this is what you do then let me know.
