Fri., 8/27/10
Took the day off of work and went up to the soon-to-be-mine 42 acre rural parcel (seller accepted the offer!!) to hike the perimeter. GPS tallied it at 2.5 miles.

Sat., 8/28/10
Wallowed in sloth. Highly unusual for me, but apparently my body wanted a bit of rest.

I had to put my workouts on hold.  Apparently I can't do Wii fit yoga without pulling something in my back.

I tested it out last night by piggybacking my 2 YO a mile at a steady pace.  He's about 30 lbs so kind of like humping my BOB but more fun for him at least.

Mon., 8/30
30 minutes on treadmill, 3.5 mph
30 minutes stretching routine

Tues., 8/31
30 minutes on treadmill, 3.0 mph
Day 3 of 100 push-up challenge (total: 42 push-ups. Oi vey!)
One set of squats (no added weight)
20 minutes stretching

In keeping this online log, I'm seeing a lot of similarity in my daily workout routines. I'm not sure if that's good (i.e., it's a habit, so I'm 99% sure I'll stay consistent) or bad (too monotonous; risk overtraining in some areas and neglecting others)

Wed., 9/1
Treadmill, stretching

Thurs., 9/2
Treadmill, stretching

Given the practically unwavering nature of my workout routine, I will spare you all further monotony and only post when I do something radically different. Like maybe BAREFOOT treadmill walking!  ;)

Word... A 3 day muscle soreness is a serious burn!!   ;D  You rocked it though (pun intended) !

I didn't post that my Aug 26 mtn bike workout was with Nick.  I blistered my hands from gripping the handlebars so tight and my index fingers hurt from braking hard as to not end up in the ditch...or a creek.   :o

Trying new sports is always a great challenge mentally and physically.

Two mile run, followed by sets of push-ups and sit-ups.  200 meter sprints, some stair running.  Two miles back to the start point.
