I do not consider myself a right wing extremist female.  :D I'm just an extremeist. I keep my opinions to myself around friends and neighbors and have been known to argue to the left, mostly just to goad people I don't like. Many people are under the impression I'm a left wing democrat (read socialist). Much safer that way, no one thinks I'm a prepper in any way, shape, or form.

lol!  I think we're about even with you guys, we just are more willing to admit it here than in public.  I'm a special education teacher, so everyone assumes I am a dyed in the wool democrat instead of an independent.  Unless they bring up politics, no need to correct the assumption.  Would I like to see our schools function better?  Yes, but I think the best way to do that is to decimate the number of administrators we have and allow school choice for parents.  I can go on and on.  And yes, though I am a loving elementary school teacher, I would cheerful shoot someone who tried to hurt my little kiddos.  For me, the two things kind of go hand in hand.  If you love something, you protect it.  Thanks for the laugh.

I saw this post and I JUST HAD to comment here. I am a whopping 25 yrs old, weigh 135 lbs and am not an "extemist" I am a realist. I do not LOOK intemidating to most, and very few people actually know what kinds of things I enjoy, but hey I will not be the osterage with it's head in the sand! I KNOW the old saying "when you're government says they are hear to help" is when the REAL trouble begins and your freedoms go out the door.
My Grandmother taught me to garden and Mom showed me how to cook, my Dad was a mechanic, we grew up poor and we really DID have to tuck back supplies for "hard times" because when Dad lost his job it happened, not to mention my Dad was raised during the depression. I have other family members that have tried to teach me as much of what USED to be the neccesities of everyday living from canning to self defense. When I became a member of a local gun range with my husband my friends rolled thier eyes, when I bought my 1st shot gun they thought it was foolish and heaven forbid when I happened to mentioned thinking of getting a conceled carry permit (after I had a bit too close for comfort encounter with a man while carrying my then 12 mth old baby to the car after shopping and dang if the police man that was patrolling went right by!!!! Yep that will get you thinking of carrying one REAL QUICK!). I stopped talking to almost all of my friends about what I do because they think I'm crazy/paranoid and they think that nothing could/ would happen to them. They also think I'm crazy for baking my own breads, gardening, learning survial skills, keeping more than 1-2wks worth of food in my pantry, or learning how to fix emergency problems on my vehicle, or learning to shoot a gun...(with the exception of my gender since some use to frown on women certian tasks) these skills USE TO be an everyday thing, but now I have begun to be classified as an extremeist because I choose not o close my eyes and I choose to protect my family from things that others may not even question. Just a thought but maybe more women are becoming "extremist" because to protect our children, our families we are having to and because what is acceptable in society has changed so much it's almost obsurd. However as I mentioned , that's just this crazy girl's opinion..... : ;)
Maybe "extremist" is just the wrong title on us all :) I just choose not to be a sheep and that scares some peple...

Puella... thanks for your post. You are in good company here! stop by the intro thread if you get a chance. I'd be curious to know how you found TSP. We look forward to sharing information and learning from you, too.

I wouldn't consider myself and extremist by any means. I'm the oldest of 7, and as sweet and gentle a person as you can imagine, until someone is bullying a person who can't stand up for themselve. Then all hell breaks loose. I think many women are to that point. It isn't that we are right wing or extremist. We are women, and we protect and nurture by instinct. It may look political, but it might be a lot more basic.

If I were a parentI would feel safer knowing someone who would was watching my kids.

Here is a picture I found that clearly shows a Right-Wing Extremist Woman standing next to a Right-Wing Extremist Man.
This crazyness has to stop!!
