MIssed bobocat
« on: December 07, 2010, 02:46:34 AM »
Well it finally happened to me. I always get a chance to
Shoot my .270 before season(never made
An adjustment to scope in 18+ years).  The
First miss with my gun was the biggest bobcat
I've seen.  Been wanting to get one for
Years & miss. The scope was off 3 inches. It
Stays in the safe all year. Oh well always
Heard the excuses but i am using it now.  Cb

Got back out after the big tom cat today.  Jumped a big body deer up at the end of the green field i sat over this evening.  A pair of owls were cruising the valley.  Not bad after the fridged wind laid down.

I have hunted the same spot all week and it paid off this evening.  Got me a nice doe after only 30 minutes in the stand.  cooked up some chunks of tenderloin for supper.  made my week.  Gonna biltong most of it.  tried it a couple of weeks ago with some old tenderloin.  very good.  cb75

I had the same thing happen I was out with my dog at night with my .22 slung over my shoulder. My dog scrunched up to #2 so I shined the woods sure enough I saw some eyes reflecting back at me. Little bugger was hunting my dog while he was doing his duty. So I pulled up and took a shot, a miss. Scared him off anyway. The next day I went out with a target at 50 yards it was 5inches off. Thank god I scared him off bc if I had to hit em id been better off with a knife.
