I will let you know when I am ready to buy anything else. So far it was the batteries, solar charger water bobs as I do have one already and the clock. Before I buy anything else I will contact you to let you know.
I have had a berkey now for several years and have about 10 of the 2 pack filters. I love it. The water is great tasting. Thought I would let people know that have not checked into this that though it is costly, it is money well spent.
Can't wait for your books to come out. Will be watching for it
Thank you so much

A family member is a graphic designer/artist and is makikng a website for me.  It should be up next week; then, I have to put articles on it.  There will be a blog section for the articles.  I will let you know how to get there but will keep writing here as Survival Podcast gave me the first way to communicate to an audience.  I give Survival Podcast a "Thank You" in the preface to the book.

Thank you Victoria. I will be watching for your website. I learned a lot just from what I have read on this site even though it was older info, it gave me a lot to think about and to see about some things I will be needing that will help me as well.

Thank you Victoria. I will be watching for your website. I learned a lot just from what I have read on this site even though it was older info, it gave me a lot to think about and to see about some things I will be needing that will help me as well.

Everything I wrote here about preparing is exactly what I do.  The articles here were written as I thought about this and that - the book is orderly, easy to find what you want.  It still doesn't have an Index but the publisher can get that done fast with a computer program to do that and it would take me a loooong time to do that as the book is like a reference book of 360 + pages, double spaced like agents/publishers want it, 12 font; and with the Index, should be close to 400 pages, unless they try to cram it together - I will insist on having a say on the size of the font - a book is useless if you have to read it with a magnifying glass.  There is also a Chapter for Seniors and their eyesight may not be good so I will not stand for tiny print.  Seniors need to live, too.  Did I mention I am 84?

Since I had to do solid thinking that four months it took to write it, writing every day and falling in bed exhausted every night, I was living it in my mind, reliving the many times going through hurricanes and tornados, living without power, and if, while researching for the book, I found a new way to do something, I put it in there.  I did put more information in the Medical Chapter.  It is really, really, really, long.

I felt compelled to write the book for others.  It is my effort to save God's creation - mankind when their lives are threatened.  There is no doubt I could have saved the eight elderly people in the Florida hurricane who died from heat in a nursing hone.  There is no doubt I had a way for all people in those hurricanes in Texas and Florida and Puerto Rico, to find good water in a town/city with no water.  Do you have a Silcock key?  If you don't know about this key, let me know and I will write about it here - I know it is somewhere in these articles on Survival Podcast.

I write here as Victoria.  My name is Marcella Derrick.

Applejack, LvsChant, thanks for bringing me back here.  I have not forgotten you and everyone here.  The deal is, if I had an affair with Trump, every publisher in the world would want any book I wrote.  They are not interested in a book unless you have a following of millions so they are sure they will sell millions - it matter not what the book is, just how much money they can get for it.  In most cases, these book agents want a copy for themselves but tell me they couldn't sell it to a publisher.

I have copyrighted the book.  At this point, I am thinking of selling it myself.  Go to Paypal, give me $20 for the past two years of my life working on this, and I send the book to you by email attachment.  I would make a sellable one in single space as it is now double space between the lines and that is cumbersome for reading.

Let me know if any of you would like that option.
Otherwise, I've had medical problems.  Two vertabre in my neck have collapsed, and that has put pressure on a certain nerve that goes through both shoulders and down to the wrists.  Orthopedic doc/pain doc, is trying to find something that will work to stop the pain.  A warning to all: don't take Lyrica; that has made me start fainting.  Be walking and just fall down.  Just stand and suddenly fall down.  He will start getting me off this terrible med tomorrow.  Before these pills, he could give me shots in my neck in that nerve to stop the pain.  That deal was to put me out, then putting a needle half way down the back, then push the needle up to the neck (glad I was out for that procedure) .

Hmm, buy the book for someone for Christmas; save lives through the Christmas season.
If you want the book, you need my email address,

Victoria, I had that problem with neck. C4 through C7. I had 4 veratare to crumble and crush my spinal cord. I went to a neurosurgan for surgery. I now have godiva bone and a plate with 4 screws attached but no more pain. Just be careful till you get something done.
I don't have a paypal account so would have to figure on getting one. Unless there is another way to buy your book. I can't think of it right now so will have to look it up and get back to you. There is a book place that both sells and publishes books. You might want to try. I will hunt down that info for you. I have bought books from them and they send e mails every couple of weeks. Wish I could think of the name of it right now.

" I had that problem with neck. C4 through C7"
Mine is C4/C5.  Both shoulders, both wrists.
How long did your surgery take?  What condition were you in after the surgery? How long after that were you back to normal.

I was in a neck brace for about 4 months after the surgery. I had one soft one to sleep in and wear around the house and a hard cast if I went outside. after about 2 months I didn't have to wear the soft cast one around the house but had to when I went to bed. The hard cast one was for a full 4 months. That was the worst part of if. But not to bad. I had no pain after the surgery which was great..

Applejack,
Thanks for the info.  This doc doesn't want me to have the surgery since the two vertebra are next to each other - something about the x-ray is telling him not to operate due to the way they are.  I need a magic pill to stop pain.

That is why I saw a neuro surgon instead of ortho doctor. I had an MRI done that showed what was going on. Had 4 disc replaced all right together one on top of the other.

I WILL CONTACT AMAZON ABOUT THEIR SELF PUBLISHING. I have copyrighted the book.

I WILL NOT DO THE FOLLOWING - YET.

Victoria,    the name of that publisher and also sells books is Lulu.com.  They seem to be rather good. I have bought a few books from them but never published anything as I have never written any books before. Maybe you could check them out.

So sorry to hear about your health probs, Victoria! I hope things get better quickly for you...

Lulu.com is a self-publisher that I have used for printing either on-demand books or small quantities. They produce a good quality product and are reliable.
