whoa...that's a lot of salt!

what a cutie.  my maw maw, god rest her soul, used to hate the request of bisquits and tomato gravy because that's what she ate as a little girl in the depression....yummy stuff!  she also had a shed behind her house with an entire wall full of her canned goods.  too bad it all went up in a fire.

A friend passed this link across to me tonight while I was showing her Dehydrate2Store's YouTube channel. Clara is adorable and she's planning on filming, at 93 years of age, some behind the scenes footage for her Depression Era Cooking DVD. The stories that she peppers into the videos are especially prescient. For those that haven't checked out the whole series, here it is:

Peppers, onions and eggs is one of my favorite breakfasts.  Top it with salsa, sprouts and sour cream and it can't be beat.
