I took a look at the link above and It is just not correct. All of the 5 ton trucks are labeled 2-1/2 ton, and every price for any item is 150.00. The price thing I can understand, it is an auction, who knows where the price will settle in.

I am slowly returning to the land of the living.

I saw in a previous post that you referred to AC install.  Was that air conditioner?  How did you do that?

Thanks!  Enjoying this thread tremendously.  I think that I may be picking one of these up shortly.  Believe it or not, a guy has one for sale in the neighborhood.  Gave me the chance to actually see 1st hand the size and space you are working with inside and out.

Thanks,

Andy

No Air conditioning.. but I do have 110 alternating current (AC) in the back now

But air conditioning would be a nice addition.

How difficult would that be to do now with some of the small units on the market?

thanks

I just stumbled upon a unit that might work.  It a PetCool - a external unit for a pet for AC and heat - The put out about 2500 btus.  I've seen them in some of the custom tiny travel trailers.

thats a nice little unit but def too small btu wise for the Landmaster2 Extreme. the avg human puts out about 400 btus plus moisture, you'd need atleast 8,000btu to make up for the people and equipment on board not to mention heat load if its in the sun, ever better with 12,500btu for a roof mount RV style from coleman or a quality Delongi 12k portable if you have room inside to store it. to give you an idea  of the capacity of the automotive ac system an 70-80s gm car with R-12 and a 3.75 pound charge could put out almost 36,000btus of cooling power just something to think about in sizing ac units

If you have access to an AR-15 take a look at the bolt face. :)
I got them from ar15.com

Might just be the shadows of the picture, but that bolt looks like it could use a little cleaning.  ;) ;D ;D

Little update time.

I replaced the rear brake/turn lights with LED replacements. I also picked up (but have not replaced) some new panels for the roof. Switching out the 4 90w 12v panels for 2 236w 24v panels. It will be a nice bump in power.

Pics of the lights.

I have the front turn ones in LED too but have not got them on yet.

New blinker switch came in. Seems that my original one was out of blinker fluid.

Old and new one side by side

Total time to replace was about 10 minutes and now all my turn signals and flashers work flawlessly. Woot.

Just found this thread. Very jealous. Home boss gave the green light as soon as pay off debt, I can get one, maybe just her way to motivate me more. Great posting and progress.  All the things I wanted to do! Still have a while until I get my own, but making a project book of all the ideas I like and how people did them. Definitely a thread I will be back for reference. With a family of 6 may need more bunks, or…as bus. Torn between space and ability to go off paved roads when necessary.

yup cmxterra, if you're low on blinker fluid you better check your Frabastat valve before it leaks on the muffler bearings and they seize up

And if all of that was not enough...

Got the 500w block heater installed.

Next on the list is to remove the 4 90w solar panels and replace them with the 2 225w solar panels.  And while up there put a nice thick coating of roof sealant.

A pic of one of the new panels

These are considerably larger than the 90w 12v panels I have up there now.
