Texas rifle season
« on: November 04, 2011, 06:54:28 AM »
Texas rifle season starts November 5th, what are your plans for the year?

Has the drought affected your plans?

My family and I lease about 500 acres from the local timber company, on that 500 acres we have 5 stands and 4 feeders, one stand is on a creek bottom overlooking some oak trees.

I have been seeing lots of rubs, but no scraps.  Maybe that will change when the rut starts kicking in.

I didn't know rifle season started today ... but ... I wanted to do a five mile hike with the dog and when I got down there I could tell there was anywhere from 3 to 8 four-wheelers in the woods and 4 to 8 hunters. The dog was mad when I turned around and didn't even let her out of the truck. It's pretty sorry to, since 4-wheelers are banned in that area. Guess I should just stop following laws and stuff, nobody else seems to.
