Topped ours off the other day since we don't drive over 20/30 miles a week anymore. Trying to keep fresh gas in it.
A hole suddenly came in the seat when I saw that price.

OPEC did manage to get it above $60 a barrel with the cuts.

US oil rises 2%, breaks above $60 as supply cuts outweigh economic worry

Oil rose sharply on Tuesday as OPEC supply cuts and expectations of lower U.S. inventories outweighed concern about weaker demand due to an economic slowdown.

The price of global benchmark Brent crude has risen about 25 percent in 2019, supported by supply curbs by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries plus allies, and involuntary losses due to U.S. sanctions on Iran and Venezuela.

Brent was up 89 cents at $68.10 a barrel, not far from its 2019 high of $68.69 reached on March 21. U.S. crude added $1.36, or more than 2 percent to trade at $60.18.

Yes, they are up here too.  At first I thought it was because, due to the family stuff going on lately, I have been filling up in cities and not at my local cheaper station.  I was talking to a neighbor today that told me they were just realy up in the past month, but she didnt know why.  I looked it up...

highest prices California has seen since 2014.

Quote
a supply crunch resulting from refinery upsets in Los Angeles and San Francisco.

“California’s unique gasoline standard means replacements for the shortfall in production aren’t easily found and … explains why drivers there have seen gasoline prices spike nearly 68 cents a gallon in just a month,” McTeague told FOX Business.

Drivers in Los Angeles have seen prices rise 71 cents per gallon in a month, while the increase was 72 cents in San Francisco.

Compounding the issue is massive flooding that occurred throughout parts of the Midwest, which affected ethanol blends and was expected to cause short-term pain at the pump for people in coastal areas due to distribution disruptions.

It doesn’t appear as if there is any near-term relief on the horizon for California drivers either. McTeague predicts that prices could rise another 10 cents, assuming refineries are able to resume production levels, which is far from a certainty.

$2.57 at Kroger but their scanners didn't like my card this morning. $2.54 off the main intersection in town the same as I would have paid at Kroger with the card discount and those scanners worked.
