This article links BPA used for lining cans in commerically packed foods to heart disease.

This blog attempts to link BPA to the obesity epidemic.  One of the more interesting claims is that BPA, as a well-known endocrine disruptor, affects infants in utero and can account for even babies becoming obese. 

It certainly appears that not only should we be growing our own food, we should also be canning it, too!  This makes me wonder about the wisdom of stocking my LTS with anything commercially canned.
