Nice work Dene!

Jack, Do we have to use the intro or can we start at any point in the audio?

+1 Dene!

Jack when you finalize it I will facebook, tweet, post to every forum I am on and email to every blogger I know.  Just dont wait so long it leaks out there, the speed that it goes from zero to huge will give it more velocity into the visibility of the average person.

Hey cha... I was so impressed by the video I thought the exact same thing... but I remembered this is part of a contest... and it isn't a publicly linked video (hence this statement at the top of the video page "This video is unlisted. Only those with the link can see it."). The contest doesn't end until Monday the 14th. And upon realizing these facts, I decided not to post a link until the entries are finalized and a winner has been declared.

Here is our PREVIEW of "If I wanted to save America"
This video too is unlisted.  For the sake of the contest please do not share the video till its all done and submitted.

Two man team working on this.

This is just a wire frame preview.  The final is something that will take all week to render.  Looks kinda like this. http://www.renderfluid.com/america.0371.png  Expect to have a finished copy uploaded by Saturday, maybe Sunday.  We are still animating the end, which by the way will have a nice surprise.

Your feedback is appreciated.

I love the text. Don't know if it would look good, but needs some background pictures or background music. It might give the video the extra punch it needs to turn it from good to great.

The big issue is time.  I don't think background images will work but using symbols and animating individual text items to accent what is being said would really bring it to the next level.  But time is the problem.  When we are done we will already have over 60+ hours into it.

Im not opposed to background music.  Anyone know where to get royalty free music from?  I would have to be subtle and not interfere with the message of the text.

Awesome job Dene. My wife and I were listening to this podcast together and it was very moving with the audio but throw in some video and it stirs a lot of very positive emotion.

Oh hell yes, the text version is great!  I would even have the text backspace or strike out when Jack make a mid sentence correction.  It would further amplify the passion and make it look as heart felt as it sounds.

In a blend of the two currently on the table the text version could have some pauses to insert supporting images like the first one did.

In my opinion there need not be music.  it would detract from the message.

This all coming from a guy with little to no creativity so take with a pound of salt.

whatever the result this needs to be preserved so I can play it for my children when they come of age.

I do post audio clean up etc.  Was thinking about doing this video but unfortunately don't have the time to dedicate to a full editing project.

I am willing to help out any of the editors putting something together by doing some audio clean-up and leveling.  Anyone interested?

ive watched both videos and i got to say you guys worked really hard on those videos.  if i may add some constructive criticism, i get bored with both videos around 3:14.  its not the audio that is boring its the repetitive images.  the images are cool and all especially the one with the words jumping around the screen, but it does get boring.  im not saying i could do a better job, im just saying i believe in this project and would like to give you a perspective from the audience.

In our defense, there is alot being said in Jack's speech.  The original video "If I wanted america to fail"  was a slower paced video.  Less being said, the video is only 4:39 where Jacks video is about 7:50 .  The slower video allowed for much more footage and clips to be inserted even though its a shorter video.

Ill say this too.  The original video, which first appeared on rushlimbaugh.com, cost who ever made it alot of time/money.  Its professionally shot and they had access to all the clips and audio.

Animating and rendering almost eight minutes of video in under 2 weeks is almost unheard of.  There is a ton more I would have like to have done.  More color, more animations, add / color / animate objects appearing when spoken of.  Hell, our video doesn't even have shadows.  To meet the time deadline we had to scale back our expectations.  As I have said before between the two of us we easily have 80 hours put in on this.

It was a fun project to do.  No regrets.  There are changes I still plan to make.  Eventually we will render out a 1080p copy too.  I look forward to hearing other comments on the videos.

Well I know that I am way past the deadline but I have been working on a video for a week. I worked hard trying to figure out how to make it so I really wanted to post it. The link to the video on YouTube is: http://youtu.be/m-YbjhpL49c

I appreciate anyone who takes the time to view the video and provide any feedback. I know it is not perfect but I appreciate having the opportunity to share my work with the TSP community.
