BEIJING (AP) - China's premier expressed concern Friday about its holdings of Treasuries and other U.S. debt, appealing to Washington to safeguard their value, and said Beijing is ready to expand its stimulus if economic conditions worsen.
Premier Wen Jiabao noted that Beijing is the biggest foreign creditor to the United States and called on Washington to see that its response to the global slowdown does not damage the value of Chinese holdings.

They should be worried. With a compotent administration, their holdings would be in jeopardy. With the current crop of clowns, they're holdings are nothing but pipe dreams.

I have to wonder why it took so long for them to start saying stuff like this?  Or how long it will be before we hear tons of these types of comments from them.

They said a polite version of this same thing a month after the "stimulus" package, and now they are getting more vocal.  Combine that with harassing our ship in international waters, and it is easy to see the direction things are going.

They have no choice.  We have approved spending that we can not repay which means we will print money, and they are under a lot of pressure inside China from civil unrest.  They need an external enemy like we did (WWII) to get out of this depression.  This will be used to distract their people so they unite against us instead of overthowing the Chinese government.

Once China makes the commitment to treat us as the enemy they can easily dump their US Treasuries causing the value of the dollar to plummet.  When we have nobody to buy our debt, we can not pay for the "stimulus" even this 100% income tax rates, and people realize that our government has turned on the printing presses, heavy inflation will hit and it will take a lot to get out of it.
