Mini EDC kit container suggestions?

I'm looking to make my mini EDC kit more easy to carry. Right now I have an Altoids tin kit that has the bare basics but good to have items. My problem is the best way to carry it or the contents of it.

I keep cell phone in one pocket, key chain with light/small knife in another, wallet in 3rd. Don't really like sitting on the altoids tin, keys or phone in the back pocket.

Looking at my options I am either leaning to something to clip on a belt or something wallet style to keep in my other pocket.

Either way i think some sort of wallet or fold up case might be better suited to have better organization to the mini kit.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to either place to carry or a specific fold up or better organized container? Thanks

If your looking for a small pouch for EDC, I have one made for runners, it's a little larger than a altoids tin..in fact one will fit in there...It either clips on belt, shoes or waistband....black...looks like a cell phone case...around $8 from Sports Authority but I'm sure you can find something like it anywhere like that..it was on a rack for phone/watches...

I picked up a digital camera case that was just about the right size. (just larger than an altoids tin.

Then i started thinking about some sore of tactical ankle harness. Ok maybe like an ankle holster for more designed with several little pockets. Could be very low profile and unobtrusive. Anyone see one of those? I think i'll get around to making one some time here.

I just picked up a Maxpedition Micro pocket organizer that I'm setting up as my EDC kit.  I really like it, but it is a bit bigger than that Altoids tin.

I've had it set up with two altoids tins (one inside and one outside) and now set up with one altoids tin inside (plus misc stuff) and a blackberry clipped outside. They show an image of a guy with it on his belt ... might be able to knock out two things at once if your cellphone is small enough.

I'm very tempted to pull some of the outdoor survival things from my EDC bag and make a neck knife kit. I really like how this one is set up.

I bought a leatherman sidekick and it came with a lousy pouch so I bought one of their sheaths to go with it. I like it, it's got two pockets I keep my sidekick in and the one behind it I keep my cell phone in. Has 2 stretchy loops on the sides where I keep a small pen and flashlight. Cram safety pin and some bandages in there as well. Haven't found anything to fit in the front small pocket yet.

The maxpedition is a little large for my taste...i'm trying to be a little more descreet. As for the neck knife that is a great idea. My work doesn't like weapons so I'd have to keep the knife short or maybe just a neck kit without the knife.
