Moutain House at Costco!
« on: October 21, 2012, 08:47:06 AM »
I was traveling on business on Friday, and per usual stopped in Merrillville, IN at the Costco to get the wife's list taken care of in a state with no sales tax on food (God, I hate having to live in Illinois!!).  While I was there, I came across a Mountain House box containing 10 pouches (2 Beef Stew, 2 Lasagna, 3 Chicken Teriyaki, & 3 beef stroganoff).  It was about $4.25 per packet.  Probably within a quarter of the same thing on Amazon.  Not sure if all Costco's are carrying them (not on the website) or not.

Ours opens this week, I'm interested in seeing what all they have. Of course, you have to spread the $55 membership fee across everything you buy . . .  :o  ::)

I got a box at our local Costco. Went back and they didn't have any more. They said they only received one pallet. Great price!

I gotta check out our Costco! One trick I found out about shopping at Costco, is to look at the price sign - if it has an asterisk in the upper right hand corner, that means once it's gone it's gone.  Here's a link explaining:

Here on Long Island they had it.
Went back about a week later and it was gone.

Never seen Mountain House, but I have seen the Thrive brand by Shelf Reliance.

They also have a bunch of Shelf Reliance products on the Costco Website.
