I need Paracord, a lot of it.

    Does anyone know a good supplier of paracord-by-the-foot? I would like a supplier that covers the full spectrum of needs from 10' to 1000' and everything in between. Right now I'm planing to buy from Lighthound, for my purposes 450 or 550 test makes little difference. Quality doesn't have to be tops but dependable.

I didn't check the price right off..  but I was looking at the color selection - which appears to be limited.  If you are looking for Blaze Orange - they don't seem to have it.

Rothco is a good source - and sells via Amazon or direct.

As Nico said,.. there is a whole thread on sources though.

I just purchased some from Supply Captain, but I would also use Full Belly Insurance.  They both have actual paracord and large color selections.  Camping Supply is also priced well.

Thanks all! I was trying to find a thread for it but couldn't find the right topic to look in. That and I'm terrible with forum searching.

Edit: I think I'm going to try the "Round Black Paracord 1000' Spool" from CampingSurvival.

if you are buying more than 5 spools of 1000 feet at a time i buy from this website.  http://wholesale-parachute-cord.com/   they have been great to work with and have very good prices since you are buying in bulk.

Awesome! I am trying to work up to orders like that. Since I'm just getting back into it, one at a time. I hope I get to going through a few spools a month.

ebay surprisingly! I ordered a spool of it (500 feet) just to have some and learn how to tie various knots. I do want to mention that learning to tie knots is a lost art and I recommend practicing every month or so or you will lose it and forget how.

I get mine at Hobby Lobby. They have it in the jewelry/crafts area. It appears to be the real deal. They also have the small, curved buckles for making "survival bracelets". With a weekly discount coupon the price is $5.69 (tax included) for a 100 feet. There are different camo patterns and sudued colors as well as some flourescent eye poppers.

I get mine from www.campingsurvival.com on 1,000 ft rolls for around $35.  It is veteran owned and has descent prices.

Through my crafts, my work actually decided to start selling paracord in our retail store. We are going to be buying directly from the manufacturer and we're even bring in clips and such. Overall, cost should balance because of no shipping. Plus, I get to put my hands on it and see how it feels. Probably even get custom dyed lots if I wanted to order a good quantity of it.
