Well I did something really, really stupid to day. I did not listen to the advice of the Home Front Command. I was on my way to work just pulling out of my parking lot when we had a siren. A group of us ran to a safe room. This happened to be a basement of a building. As soon as the siren was over and we heard the booms we left the safe room. I left my car open. I was worried because the news was reporting thefts. If you can believe it breaking into homes and steeling cars is a huge problem now.
Well as soon as we left the safe room and we were in the parking lot, we got caught in a rain storm of nuts, bolts, and shrapnel. The Iron Dome intercepted about 8 rockets over our head. What we didn't take into consideration was the shrapnel. I went running to find head cover. I'm really luck nothing hit me on head. I was in the city of Holon two days ago and a piece of a rocket destroyed a car after being intercepted by Iron Dome.
The homefront command says wait 10 minutes from after the siren is heard. The main reason is to prevent injury from falling debris or if there are more rockets immediately follow the first ones.
