sold out .22lr
« on: January 30, 2013, 04:40:32 PM »
.22lr has been sold out for a while here,  nothing on the self.  Has anyone seen it start to come back in stock?

See the other post here....

A lot of discussion there about who is seeing what.   To recap here in northern WV, I did see .22LR a few days ago in two Wal-mart locations.   Limits on the amounts in both stores.   That was the first I had seen anything since before Christmas.   Similarly, 9MM and 40 S&W.

I go to Wal-Mart from time to time to look at ammo.  I can never find anyone there to actually sell it to me.  I don't think I've bought any ammo there in five years.

Now, the WM not ordering ammo thing I thought had been debunked and quite frankly I don't really trust any employee of any WM to actually be a beacon of reliable information.  I just don't think they can get it and that's the excuse someone decided they wanted to use.

It's the same around here. It's nice to own a 17 hmr and a 22 mag.

I've noticed there's zero .22 ammo in any of the stores i've gone to. And no 10/22's either. Marlins and others but no ruger.

ITRH Urban Survival podcast was talking about some huge govenment ammo buy up. Strange depts. like NOAH, FEMA and the FDA were given money to buy it, along with the more obvious ones. But huge numbers of ammo, like a billion rounds or something...
I suppose that could have something to do with the shortage, plus fear of the 'big gun grab' of course...
All the best,

If you contact my son at Faith Armory Temecula CA I believe they still have a few. Out of CA need local FFL transfer. Also check out their site on Gun Broker...Matthew is the contact for gun broker as well as Faith Armory.  Tell him Mom sent you. LOL

Mostly low here, but our local Big R had 500 round bricks of Remmington a couple weeks ago.  I bought 2 and left 2.  Went back a few days later for something else and they were out but had Blazer.  So there's some trickling through.

Zip, zero, nada.....found a few bulk boxes of .22 Blazer at Bob's Gun /Tackle in Hastings, MI.....but that was a couple weeks ago. Other than that, there is nothing. Four of the local Walmarts are cleaned out, and now have 3 box maximum purchase (nothing to purchase anyway). Another large chain like Walmart, Meijer's, cleaned out as well.

Picked up a 1400 round pail at a Dick's today.
They also had 300 round boxes of CCI for $25.

The 1400 was $65. Not too bad. I had a $20 rewards certificate so it was $45 before taxes.
