The dead cat picture was posted once before.  It's actually the picture that earned the Campfire it's "View at your own risk" warning.

Someone got mad, made a big deal of it & quit the forum. Roll Eyes

I posted it & it was taken down; I thought it would have been OK in view of the pic of the 2 GI Joes with their trophy rodent.

Um, ok.

Tacticool eh?

I'm brimming with confidence.

I took this one of a picture hanging in the men's room at my local Bass pro shop. I think that's Lake Takalikiliki in the background.

OK, so last of the nature pics for this tour of duty unless I can get a better Grizzly shot.  This subadult and I met on opposite sides of the Sag river here in Prudhoe Bay AK this morning at 0300.  Before I could get to my camera, he splashed into the river and swam to my side, then proceeded to dig up some rodent snacks.  Unfortunately the camera sucks and picts are darker than it really was but worth showing none the less.

You're welcome!  I'm sorry they're so grainy.  I wasn't interested in artistic license as much as I was interested in being able to see brother bear.  Smiley

Don't know if this qualifies as awesome, but it sure is cute!  There are some wood ducks that have their babies up the road a ways.  They always lead them past our house to the river.  One baby usually manages to get lost and stuck in our back yard.  But today, the cats disrupted the commute between the mama and about 18 babies, so we had baby ducks stuck everywhere.  There were about 8 wedged behind a grill in the back yard.  They were good and stuck too.  I rounded them up and found some in the neighbors yard and dropped them where the mama was with the rest. Somehow they managed to take a wrong turn again and I found 10 stuck in our window well, several on the street and one in the hardware store next door!  Well, we manged to get 15 rounded up in a bucket and took them to the river.  The mama was circling, so I hope she found them.

OK, so this is really the last installment for this tour of duty.  This kits were grab assing in my patrol area and I couldn't resist photographing them.  Took video too but I'm not knowed up on how to post it.  In 2 weeks I return and the migrating birds will have hatched, Caribou will be in mass migration, Polar Bears will be coming in as whaling season starts up, so hopefully there will be plenty more to photgraph.

This came out kinda cool looking as it was bright (for 3AM) but I used a low light setting because of the shadows.

This hill is full of fox dens.
