Freedom Munitions remanufactured 9mm
« on: August 01, 2013, 10:28:24 AM »

Anyone have experience with Freedom Munitions remanufactured 9mm ammo?   That gunbot app shows it as the cheapest 9mm going now, but I'm not sure about buying 500+ without some input.    I've let my practicing slip lately due to prices and time.   I REALLY need to start going to the range more and looking for cheap ammo to practice.

If it helps, I'm shooting a full sized CZ75 and a Glock 26.   Worried about FTF and FTE on these types of rounds.   Don't care so much if it is "dirty", I like to clean my guns :).

I've ran two boxes through my Glock 19 and had zero FTF/FTE issues. I've also shot Black Hills remanufactured 9mm, and it did fine too.

Come to think of it, everything seems to run fine through my glock. Still, I say go for it.

I bought some in 40 about a year ago and have never had a problem with it.
If you need it and the price is right, I don't think you'll be unhappy.

Several THOUSAND rounds of Freedom 9mm through my XDm 3.8 subcompact, and 2 x XDm 4.5's..  zero issues.

For ball ammo, I highly recommend it.

I have run about 2 boxes through my Ruger P95 and my wife has run about the same through her Glock 23. We didn't have any issues with it.

On another note, i had not noticed before they now sell NEW ammo. The price differences are pretty small, i would like to give their new stuff a try.

Reman 115gr Round Nose $10.71 for 50
NEW 115 gr Round Nose $11.17 for 50

Looks like a great deal to me. Have seen "Blemished" ammo for sale there as well.

I plan to buy some from them based on there reviews from several sources.  Its a lot of work to reload, and sometimes I like a few hundred rounds of cheap ammo to save me some time & work.

I have shot 100 9mm and 100 40 reman from Freedom Munitions. Had no problems with either caliber. Though the prices for new ammo are only a few cents per round different $10 to $20 for 1000 9mm rounds. The New may give you a better feeling.
