Lol, what state are you in? I am doing designs for some friends to get a portfolio going. Maybe once I get some real world design experience under my belt I could help you out.

It is inspiring that there are places like this in my area. In a few years this will be a productive food forest system.

Oh hell yes! Can you say "POTENTIAL"? That's a beautiful site. Are those fence lines already on contour? Sure looks like it.

Yes, those are swales with fruit trees planted on the downhill side. It is Greensleeves farm in Alexandria KY. They had a swale workshop and brought in excavators to do it. It is a pretty amazing property. Can't wait to see how it develops.

Wow, that does look nice.  I love seeing stuff on this scale.  My little place is so dinky by comparison.  I just wish I had soil.  Just soil and maybe a growing season.  Soil, a growing season and maybe some precipitation.  All I need is some soil, a growing season, a little precipitation, and maybe a tractor.  ...somehow Steve Martin is coming to mind...

Yeah I have a 1/2 acre, but I have realized there is so much potential on my land. One day I will hopefully own land like that. Until then, I will turn my 1/2 acre into a personal paradise!

Congratulations!   The PDC I attended was such an eye opening experience and I am so glad my husband took it before we started shopping for our house.  It really helped us figure out that we could do what we wanted on a smaller piece of land with a lot less expensive infrastructure.  More importantly it helped us figure out exactly what was important to us. 

Careful in a few years you will become the person all your friends ask for help with what to do with their yards.
