The constrictor knot is the best ligature

I was wondering if any knot experts or medical personnel on the board have any holes they see in the methodology or conclusions.

Also, I hope this article will be helpful.

I'm strongly considering using the instructions at Animated Knots to learn to tie it well, both with my hand, and with instruments.

I'm also considering learning how to do surgical stitching, and practice the process with hand-stitching of cloth to ensure that the thread use is second nature.

I've been practising knot/ropes (yes, i'm a knotty guy) and the constrictor knot is a good knot for tying something closed/several somethings together/etc.

To remove it, you usually have to cut the top strand with a knife, no real way to get a scissor under the strands.

Thanks Grouchie.

So, Cedar, as a former vet, do you think you could practice this ligature knot and see what you think of it?
