Harvested exactly TWO medlars (they need to get frozen before they are ripe to harvest). But it's only been two years since the little tree was planted, so I hope this was just a preview of what it may yet bring us. Haven't tasted it yet. I have planted two more medlars in 2015, out of which one seems to be pretty much dead, but I'm giving it time to revive this Spring. The oldest one may get some trimming this year, as will some other trees I planted over the last three years. Apples, pears, cherry, sour cherry, amelanchier (Am. Canadensis lives, Am. Lamarckii seems dead), cornel, honeysuckle, chestnut, walnut....
