We've harvested couple baskets of elder blossoms. Most of we're dehydrating for medicinal tea (works much like aspirin, actualy contains some of the same chemicals). Also used some to make syrup (for flavoring water) and some we're letting to ferment with water, sugar and lemon to make a soda of sorts.

Radishes and strawberrys.

We had 3 black snakes, tangled up and dead in the netting over the strawberry beds the first of the week.  ???
I can understand one, but three? And of course, lost the new net getting them out of there.
The large one was about 6' long

You can keep your snakes. I've seen nothing but little grass snakes here though maybe 20 yrs ago a kid down the street was bitten by a coral snake. Kid's dad killed it and to kid and snake to the hospital. Fortunately traffic wasn't so bad then. Only 5 minutes hammer down. Coral snaked confirmed. :jaw-drop:

Last of the radishes. I'll plant more.

Heres the 65x95 garden. Didn't realize it was really too late for good pics.

A zucchini and a couple cucumbers.  We picked about 10-12 cucumbers yesterday.

Summer squash, carrots, green beans, rutabaga and an onion (really too early for the onion, but wanted to see how they were bulbing).

It's that week. Up to my ears in sour cherries, currants, raspberries, and serviceberries. Brings up an interesting dilemma for me about how to apportion jams/preserves vs. fruit beers, ciders, and meads vs. fresh frozen for yogurt and smoothies.

It's funny because I remember being young and poor and that kid would have cut fingers off to brew with my harvest but as time goes by it just becomes normal. Forget about the fact that I might get the grapes to press wine, a bushel of apples, and enough hazelnuts to have a small problem. Maybe this year I need to loose the reigns and really experiment with an oak and hazelnut aged Baltic porter.

@David: I'm very jealous of all your berries and sour cherries... nothing better than cherry pie with home-grown cherries. and I love currant jam, but don't have any growing here. My hazelnuts are still too small to produce -- a few more years and it should be a very good thing.

My tomatoes are starting to ripen... I have countertops in my kitchen lined with them in various stages of ripeness. To prevent birds/animals from ruining my nice tomatoes, I tend to pick them when they are not completely red.

also getting a ton of summer squash...

Besides the blackberry's and wild red plums, and the elderberry's which all go wild, we've tried getting apple trees and blueberry's going, which all eventually fail.
We set out 10 small peach cuttings, and 4 are hanging in there.

First summer squash; been getting sugar snap peas the last 2 weeks, still going; harvested the small, "wild" red plums last week; small cabbage last week; chard and magenta spreen lambsquarters all the time; last of the brocolli yesterday

For last nights dinner took some of the parsley, it is too small to take much, and a few pieces of tops off the maturing onions to -- both of those went into a potato salad ( A Molly Katzen recipe where you cook the thinly sliced potatoes in the vinegar and oil, which I did in the solar oven ( recipe in Enchanted Brocolli Forest))

Harvested a second bed of potatoes week before last -- so far potato yields low but also great considering the conditions and early heat on them end of May, so total of 90 square feet of raised bed space yielded up 94 pounds of Red Norland and Yukon Gold, and Yukon Gem. Red Norland performed best followed by Yukon Gold. Still have the late planted potato bed ( 40 sq ft) growing

First actual garden harvest of the year, other than the strawberry's.
Got about 2 quarts of mixed red and green okra. Probably will start pickling them until the tomatoes ripen for garden stew.

They look like tiny watermelons...less than an inch long.  They taste like cucumbers with a sharp bite of lime.  The bigger you let them grow, the more sour the taste.  Another name is Mexican sour gherkins.  People seem to love them or hate them.

Okra yesterday. Almost a gallon jug.
Another tomato, which had blossom end rot. That makes 2 of those, and 2 greener ones that most likely some sneaky chicken got in the garden and took a bite each out out of them.
Could have been a turtle also. GD's found one by the gate, so we moved that dude down to the far pond.

Lots of fresh rosemary. I love rosemary and I keep it in a pot that I bring in for winter. I usually get about 3-5 years out of a plant and they are the best. Perfect for grilled chicken, potatoes, and breads. It's such a foundation of Greek cuisine (and I love Greek food) that just makes summer pop. You can even use rosemary as a basting brush at the grill.

If you really want to try a wild recipe, cut a pork loin in a manner such that you "unravel" it into a long flat piece of meat. Season with salt, pepper, orange marmalade, rosemary, and garlic. Re-roll and tie it up and grill to perfection.

@David: sounds delicious!

More tomatoes and squash picked here. I have basil that I should start dehydrating... just used the last of the previously dehydrated stash. My sage, thyme and parsley are also looking good... time to pull out the excalibur and get going.

Green beans, okra, and tomatoes. Probably will be a week before we start getting a steady supply of tomatoes so we can start canning our garden stew.
