You know.. I am just going to continue eating what I eat... which I always have and not listened to what the government says is better..

FDA/Gov sayyyyyyyyys:
(Then)... Eggs are bad for you.. (Now).. Oh No they aren't, they are good for you!
(Then)... Mushrooms are bad for you.. (Now).. Oh No they aren't, they are good for you! They prevent cancers
(Then)... Milk is bad for you.. (Now).. Oh No it isn't, it's good for you!
(Then)... Chocolate is bad for you.. (Now).. Oh No it isn't, it's good for you! Prevents alot of diseases
(Then)... Wine is bad for you.. (Now).. Oh No it isn't, it's good for you! Prevents heart diseases and some cancers.
(Then)... Coffee is bad for you.. (Now).. Oh No it isn't, it's good for you! They are the top source of flavonoids which reduce the risk for type 2 diabetes, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.

Remember when avocados, nuts, pasta, potatoes were all bad? But now they aren't?

Now 'they' say that cholesterol is not as bad as all that...  ???

I am reminded of the Woody Allen film, Sleeper.  Life is imitating art.

Maybe I'm gifted... When researching a paper a while back on Atherosclerosis, I learned the average male's body produces between 2500-3500Mg of cholesterol a day.  My immediate thought about those numbers was, "Yeah, 450Mg/day is so bad vs. 250Mg/day..."

I have been saying that for literally 23 years at least.

I still remember when my son was a baby and FIL was told by his doctor to eat healthier foods.  According to the doc, that meant foods that were low in cholesterol.

I tried to explain the stupidity behind a rule that meant eggs were forbidden but a Three Musketeers bar was just fine, but it fell on deaf ears.

I can't wait until they figure out that saturated fats are fine, but I'm not holding my breath.

I am sure they would have a coronary over us eating lard here.

So, you are saying eating lard causes heart attacks in others?  ;D

I was SO excited when the local Mexican fast food place (that I already loved) posted a disclaimer stating that they used lard in their kitchen.

I pretty much high-fived myself right then and there.

Waiting for the establishment to admit that CANOLA OIL ISN'T HEART HEALTHY IT'S BAD FOR YOU (along with other omega 6 rich highly oxidizable oilseed oils)

I am sure they would have a coronary over us eating lard here.

But coconut oil is good for you. Even though they have like the same fatty acid profile (depending on the pig and the coconut of course). Seems legit.  ::)
