"Turn Washington's Spies" series?
« on: April 06, 2016, 03:34:40 PM »
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turn:_Washington%27s_Spies

anyone watching this?
I need a new tv series to watch, but I am kind turned off by pre WWI eras/aesthetics.
So thsi must be action and "cloak and dagger" full for me to enjoy

My wife and I enjoy the season. We both enjoy America History so this is a good fit for action/spy/suspense.

It is not a documentary. As we know there is a bit a liberties taken for ensure interesting episode story lines but it is not too overdone. Just as every cop show is not like walking the beat.

According to some sites out there, season 2 wil be out the beginning here of April, but not yet.

It is a good series - 6/10 IMHO - and the liberties didn't annoy me too much, except for one. They play up Abraham Woodhull's role waaaay too much as to what really happened. It would have been better if they had focused on Benjamin Talmadge instead, or maybe more of an ensemble approach.

My $.25 ($.02 adjusted for inflation)!   :o ;)

Google "turn to a historian" if you would like a commentary blog that separates the fact from fiction in the story.

Very good series but, it will only last so long.  Its history so there is a definitive end to it.

Killed season 3 in about 1 week (ultra addicting)
We watch after busy days with the kids . We usually get 2 to 3 episodes in a night.
