Everyone's freaking out at my corporation... this is going down right across the street from us (our parking garage is pictured on the ABC link).

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (WLS) --
An office building in northwest suburban Schaumburg was put on lockdown late Tuesday morning.

Police responding to a report of a man with a gun in the 200-block of Martingale Road are on the scene, securing a perimeter.

No shots have been fired, police said.

This story will be updated as further details are released.

There's police choppers and at least 15 squad cars (marked and unmarked) along with a few ambulances. Hopefully it was a false alarm, but police are definitely not responding in that manner....

Police say they those people turned out to be elevator technicians.

What a time to be alive.... legit 20 cops cars, SWAT, police chopper, locked down perimeter... all over some elevator techs carrying equipment in. (not faulting law enforcement, they have to respond. Faulting the weirdo(s) who would call this in and demand SWAT be sent out)

Baltimore homicide detective, Sean Suiter, who was investigating another homicide has died from a point blank gunshot wound. Sounds like the city lost a good one. He leaves behind his wife and 5 children...

(CNN)The Broward County Sheriff's Office in Florida is responding to reports of a shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland.

Broward County Fire Rescue is reporting that 20 people are injured, according to CNN affiliate WSVN.
The shooter is still at large, the sheriff's office said on Twitter.

Highline is a community college in Des Moines, Wash., about halfway between Seattle and Tacoma.

Great Mills High School in Maryland is on lockdown Tuesday morning after a shooting at the school, the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office said.

The event has been contained, the sheriff's office said.
There was no immediate information about any possible injuries or deaths.

Two victims, both alive though one is in pretty rough shape. Shooter is dead. SRO mixed it up with the shooter and either shot the shooter or the shooter killed themselves on facing resistance.
