Arctic Survival Training - Acually just a snow machine trip to our remote property by Talkeetna AK.  Soon will be BOL cabin.

Deep snow and crazy wind make getting around not so easy.

Note to self: bring 4 ways of making fire!  My lighter (tested the night before) didn't work and my "survival/water proof" maches absolutely sucked!  Finally got a couple to light, but would not want to be in pure survival mode and have to rely on them to get a fire going!

Success!

Practice hauling equipement in on sled.  Made me think that I may hire Helo to bring in bigger stuff.  A little pricey but they can drop everything I need in about an hour.  Same would take me weeks to haul by snow machine.

Yeah, a side hobby of mine.  Chainmail jewelry from Sterling Silver rings.

Bracelet is a 14ga 4-in-1.  I don't wear it very often.  The necklace is a byzantine weave also made from the same sized rings.  I also have a ring I made in 12-in-1 with leftover rings from a bracelet I made my wife.  I need to get the rings sautered on that because I keep snagging it on everything.  The smaller rings are more flexible and pop open all the time..  I haven't been able to make much lately.  Last year I essentially worked for my last full-time company for free for 6 months (against my better judgment) thinking things would pull through.  No money means no hobbies...  =-]

I have no idea what it cost, but I know when she brought it home she was extremely excited, so I let it lie. I'm not going to ask either. She didn't ask the last time I brought a gun home so it's only fair!

Thanks, she is Taylor Creek's Sugar Magnolia, Maggie for short, that was when she was 6 weeks old. She is now just shy of 15 weeks old.  If you don't know she is a German Shorthaired pointer. She was a gift to my wife and me from a good friend that raises them.

I have an autism ribbon that goes on your car, with the little puzzle pieces all over it.  My mom is a speech language pathologist, and works with autistic kids all day.  My best friend in grade school was aspergers.  It's interesting how prevalent it's become lately.  I agree with archer, though.  +1 to you two for being supportive of the little one.

Ohhhh, I have one of those magnets too! I get lots of questions from random people in parking lots about it and I love spreading the word. Gator has a sticker on his truck too  Smiley
