Trump riots
« on: November 09, 2016, 07:38:59 PM »
Several Us cities have thousands of people protesting Trump's win.
Thousands of protesters targeted Trump buildings in New York and Chicago on Wednesday
In Austin, Texas, protesters blocked a highway. Students burned a flag on the campus of American University in Washington, and they walked out of class in high schools and colleges across the country the day after the presidential election.
Two opposing rallies crowded Pennsylvania Avenue near the White House, while protests on the other side of the country threatened to turn ugly.

Portland and Seattle have protestors as well.

We have them here as well, signs like "undocumented and unafraid" "unite against hate " chanting things like " NO Cops, no KKK, no facist usa ", etc.... eventually crowds have grown and the main street in town is blocked and full of people with a microphone, signs etc... University of Calf campus is here and everyone loves an excuse to get out and block a street on a nice evening ! ( I stayed up here, but saw the news, it was predictable. I just hope the ones who stay late dont harm the businesses down there, 'cause sometimes they do...)

My girl said some people at the Junior college would come up to her and say things like, " Im so stressed you know ? " And she would reply, "me too, I have a physics exam tomorrow " and they would lok at her and wlak away.....

So I see a white woman holding a sign which says; "Confront Whiteness".
Does she have any idea what she's saying?
If she voted, she voted for Hillary who by some odd coincidence is "White".
Or she would have voted for Sanders, who also is White.
So what the heck she talking about?

Here in North Texas they're more mild but happening.

My Facebook feed is full of people crying and shaking because they're afraid that everyone who isn't white is going to death camps. So insane...everything will be fine unless the protests turn into riots. Market is up and strong.

Keep an eye on these, stay safe and carry on!

Kind of makes me wonder if this isn't their guilt become their fear. Was this what was intended for me and those like me if I didn't start towing their line? Kill me and they think their world will be a better place?

When I post this kind of thing, it is to inform People to avoid areas, that incidents are happening. For instance I called my neighbors last night to lock their doors and stay inside as a suicidal guy who just hurt a female in his household was now wandering our road with a gun and a knife.

From what limited sources I can read/hear, and from watching past protests/ rioting build, there is a large social media blitz to get three more going. Last night was just an impromptu protest, even if signs were ready made.

Blackbloc2017
FuckTrump
Notmypresident
America

And possibly RedCups are some of the social media campaigns.

January 20th is one they are starting to build, but from watching past protests, I suspect it will be Friday and Saturday which ought to be telling in how this will grow, or fade away. At this point, historically in the last three years of me watching how the protests are being "managed" , I don't anticipate it fading anytime soon. I am curious to see which way it goes.

Well if I thought a modern day Mao, Stalin, Pol Pot, etc. was my dictator I would have some reaction as well.

It's important to remember that these are coddled mentally unaware children. Unlike us who are happy to discuss the ideal man in terms of Nietzsche, Kant, and Aristotle they work in terms of mob violence screaming "racist, sexist, homophobe" not aware that they are following the Hegelian dialectic. To them all knowledge is subjective and moveable. Scientific method is abandoned in lieu of "scientific consensus" unless we are defining terms in biology where every definition can be redefined by the subject.

I can debate a socialist. But how do I argue with a Marxist who never read Das Kapitol and doesn't know who Lenin and Trotsky were? How do I get lectured about election results from a person who never read The Federalist Papers or John Locke? How do you scream "tax the rich" without knowing the key differences between Keynes, Friedman, and Hayek?

You will never win a battle of logic in a cult of personality. And the young American left has decided the path forward is historical ignorance, intellectual sloth, cultural Marxism, collectivism, and a zeitgeist of fearful namecalling. A libertarian and a constitutionalist can sit down and have wonderful conversations about French Civil Code vs. English Common Law, Madisonian Republic vs. Swiss Cantons, or writers of the Harlem Renaissance and walk away richer. But you toss one college "educated" lefty in there and you'll get an earbeating about cultural appropriation, racism, sexism, trans rights and you'll get nowhere.

I'm wondering what percentage of the protesters actually went out and voted. Half at best?
They live their lives in an echo chamber, they refuse to listen to opposing views, they run to their safe space.
So what do they do when things didn't go the way they wanted?
They throw a tempter tantrum.
They crap in their own bed.

Maybe it's not their fault they're so messed up in their thinking.
My grandson came home from school yesterday and said that he was very afraid that Trump was elected.
Afraid I asked?
His teacher is spreading fear among her 8 year old students.
WTF!!

I posted this yesterday:

The principal of the school I work at called for short staff meeting this morning.  She didn't give the topic of the meeting but said things like "we need to tend to the emotional needs of our students" and that we should "give them extra hugs today", etc.   I thought something horrible had happened like one of our students or teachers had died.   I wasn't able to attend the meeting but I clicked on a link she provide to an article on Huffington Post.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/what-should-we-tell-the-children_us_5822aa90e4b0334571e0a30b

Quote
“What should I say to my students after the election if Trump wins?” a principal asked me recently. Good question. What should we tell our children?

Tell them, first, that we will protect them. Tell them that we have democratic processes in the U.S. that make it impossible for one mean person to do too much damage. Tell them that we will protect those democratic processes ― and we will use them ― so that Trump is unable to act on many of the false promises he made during his campaign.
:wtf:

Once again, I am amazed that there are no protests in Houston beyond some stupid Trump pinata on the UoH campus. I am really trying to figure out why there is not a riot now and again in Houston.

Scotland?   :o  I know my provincialism is showing here, but how does this affect them?

Any big protests still going on in the US?

Was last night in Portland a protest or a riot?
