Paw Paw identification
« on: August 04, 2017, 01:30:16 PM »
I planted paw paw as 3 to 6 inch seedlings in my mother back yard years ago along with other stuff. Whatever tags there where may have gotten washed away. Some paw paw plants seems easy to identify, but there are some other plants that look a lot the same but the leaves are ever so slightly toothed which I didn't think is characteristic of paw paw from my recent research unless there are different kinds .. otherwise what are these ? They may have come from a nursery. I am pretty sure at least some of them did come from nurseries but if they are not paw paw I forget what they may be, some kind of aronia maybe

See if these look like paw paw as these are the plants in question. Some the leaves look too thin but the leaf pattern seems right
