Oral Probiotics?
« on: November 20, 2017, 11:05:32 AM »
So we've all heard about digestive probiotics for years but I recently found out about oral probiotics. Seems the bacteria in our mouths are as out of whack as the bacteria in out guts. I did some looking and bought

https://www.amazon.com/NatureWise-Oral-Health-Chewable-Probiotics/dp/B01E6C4H6U/ref=pd_ybh_a_4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=PX0KTV50VPF16WNABEYE

I was struck by the many reviews that claimed this product help all manner of gum disease, ear/nose/throat issues, and prevents cavities. I have receding gums so maybe worth a try.

A few days in and already my breath is fresher. I'm not making some bold claim but this stuff seems to make a difference. Maybe someone else has tried a similar product before. I'd love some advice.

Interesting.  I've always had great teeth, but my gums are getting worse with age. I might try this out myself.

Huh. I have a constant post-nasal drip that I just assumed was because I moved to a dry climate a few years ago, but I did have some sinus/upper respiratory issues even before then. I already take a probiotic for GI stuff and it noticeably helps, maybe I should look at these too.

Might sound odd but I noticed this morning I can breathe through my nose easier than ever before. I have a deviated septum (my ENT wants to fix it and remove my tonsils) so nose breathing has always been a little tough. But my sinuses have never been clearer. I can't prove it's the probiotics but the timing is amazing.

I'm increasingly sold on this product.

For $25 and your reco, I'll roll the dice.  I'll start taking these when they arrive this weekend.

Thanks

Here in South America, the use of oral probiotics is very common. Is the easiest way to consume it. Also some doctors recipe yogurt as a natural probiotic

If you've had antibiotics in your life, it's definitely worth considering probiotic foods or supplements. The healthy gut flora gets demolished by modern medicine.
