Lesson learned on Yaesu 450D
« on: February 26, 2018, 05:05:51 PM »
Hi All

Yesterday a friend needed me to help him test something on the radio.
So I set up my 450D and to tuning when I realized I did not attach the antenna.
All of a sudden SWR is out the roof and nothing works.
After I went through my usual freak out phase of oh no now what do I do I contacted a friendly Elmer I know. He recommended I do a factory reset. POOF one reset and then a power cycle and IT WORKS again.

So friends if you forget to attach the antenna DONT DO THAT LOL you may be ok. These radios are tougher then they look.

Thanks again Carl.

Nice work!

Most of the time there's a silly way to solve these problems.

Good repair job...the FT450D is one of the best deals on the market today,if you can find one.
Why is it that the same people who use science to convince you of Global Warming, refuse DNA Science that proves you are male or female.

Government solves few problems that it does not first create.

Stop complaining about life and start Celebrating it .

I've reached the age where there is little left to learn the hard way.

If you had only one year, one month,or one day...Would you live your life differently?

Radios are pointless without someone trained to use them.
