Plastic Pipe identification
« on: May 29, 2018, 12:40:00 AM »
in the flashlight world palstic pipe pieces are used as spacers/adapters for batteries. i.e fiting the 18650 in wider flashlight bodies.

in my hands I have a piece of plastic pipe that it is 1 inch outside diameter, darker gray but thicker on the walls than the high density PVC (we do not use the schedule system over here). inside diameter is about 18+ mm, 1-2 mm tighter than HD PVC.
Also the pipe piece has a green line running lengthwise, and i have seen similar with a yellow line.
BTW this kind of pipe cannot be found in our big DIY and house materials retail stores

what kind of pipe is this and what industry uses it?

Possibly Schedule 80 rigid pvc, used for rising out of a trench from an underground conduit run, where required. Also used when greater protection is needed, and/or metallic conduit is not suitable.
