Carey canner woes
« on: August 26, 2018, 07:59:18 PM »
Any suggestions with the following issues I'm having...

1st canner, tried canning some meat, constantly had errors either before or during the countdown.  Re-read the instructions many times, following them as close as possible.  Eventually, it shut off and never powered on.  The first supplier ran our, so I ordered from someone else.  I was able to can tomatoes for my first try.  Noticed it shut itself off after the cycle was complete.  When opening and then moving the canner, I noticed a significant amount of water coming out of the internals of the canner.  And now it doesn't power on.

Has anyone else experienced this?  I did notice the 2nd vented steam from not only the pressure valve, but the handle throughout the process, but from a different thread, it seems this is normal.
